| Chairman
of the Board, President & CEO: |
M.
LARRY EDWARDS
|
|
|
Mr.
Edwards is a visionary entrepreneur and technology developer who
has accumulated many years of business experience in the U.S.
and overseas. His understanding of the global market and technological
vision have brought about significant breakthroughs in the lighting
and energy fields, for which six separate patents have been issued
in the United States, and issued or patent-pending in more than
20 other countries around the world. The technologies and products
resulting from these patents are the basis for Æon’s business.
|
|
Mr.
Edwards’ patented technologies make possible the conversion of
inefficient and ‘unclean’ AC power into highly efficient and ‘clean’
DC power in a way that it is practical and economical. Performance
and life of equipment and fixtures is greatly improved while reducing
energy costs by up to 70%. A proprietary line of products has
been developed, manufactured and used in the market today by many
satisfied customers such as NASA, New York School Systems, Humana
Hospitals, and Cub Foods Supermarkets.
|
|
Mr.
Edwards has strong track records in entrepreneurship and marketing.
His experience includes establishment of a marketing network throughout
Southeast Asia for a U.S. soft contact lens manufacturer in 1979-80;
organization of a lens manufacturing joint venture in the Philippines
in 1981; production of the first photovoltaic panels ever assembled
in the Philippines in 1980-83; establishment of the leading manufacturer
of emergency lighting in the Philippines in 1984; and development
of a revolutionary uninterruptible lighting system in the Philippines
in 1987-90 which was the forerunner of the present Æon system.
|
|
Mr.
Edwards is a graduate of the University of Hawaii in 1966 with
a B.A. degree in Asian Studies.
